Swift
Outstanding
Swift is really two bars in one. The ground floor is bright, buzzy, and built for quick drinks, walk in, grab a seat at the bar, order one of their excellent signature serves, and be on your way. Downstairs is a different world entirely: dark, intimate, and designed for settling in. The upstairs menu focuses on perfected classics and their own signature riffs. The Irish Coffee is the stuff of legend, properly made with fresh coffee, good whiskey, and cream that sits on top like a cloud. It might be the best Irish Coffee in London. Head downstairs and the mood shifts. The lighting dims, the menu expands, and the bartenders have more room to play. The cocktails down here are more complex, more considered, and more expensive, but worth it. The whiskey selection is outstanding. What makes Swift work is the flexibility. You can pop in for a quick Aperol Spritz upstairs before dinner, or spend an entire evening working through the downstairs menu. The staff are excellent at reading what kind of experience you're after. The only gripe: the downstairs can feel a bit cramped when it's full, and the music can get loud. If you want conversation, go early.
