Notes
The Espresso Martini was created in the 1980s by legendary bartender Dick Bradsell at the Soho Brasserie in London. The story goes that a famous model (rumored to be Kate Moss) asked for a drink that would "wake me up and then f*** me up", and thus the Espresso Martini was born.
The key to a great Espresso Martini is the foam on top. Use freshly brewed espresso (not cold brew) and shake hard with plenty of ice. The crema from the espresso, combined with vigorous shaking, creates that signature silky foam layer. Adjust the simple syrup to taste depending on how sweet you like your drinks.
